Green flying high in Opta stats
The ever-present forward leads the Aviva Premiership in line-out steals after pilfering seven opposition throws in his five games.
Norfolk native Green is third overall for line-outs won (27), and sits fifth in the league-wide top tacklers list after completing an impressive 65 hits.
Newcastle have three of the Premiership’s top six tacklers with Mark Wilson (64) and Will Welch (69) also showing up well – the Falcons proving equally potent in attack.
Aviva Premiership round five saw the top three ‘defenders beaten’ places all occupied by Newcastle players, Chris Harris and Vereniki Goneva tied on seven, with Juan Pablo Socino on six.
The Falcons’ next Premiership assignment takes them to champions Exeter on Saturday, followed by the European Challenge Cup visit of Welsh side Dragons on Saturday October 14.
