Newcastle Rugby Foundation are looking for a new member of their team to take the role of senior social inclusion officer.

The Foundation make a positive impact across the Nort East delivering a wide range of projects across the region, built upon using the values of rugby as a vehicle to make a positive difference that changes lives for good. 

As a senior social inclusion officer, you’ll be delivering on our national award-winning HITZ programme. You will lead on planning and delivering high-quality classroom and physical activity sessions, engaging with community partners, and ensuring young people receive the support they need to succeed. You’ll be working with some of the most marginalised young people, helping them break down barriers and build a brighter future.

Key responsibilities

  • To support the social inclusion manager in leading and motivating staff and volunteers on our social inclusion programmes. 
  • Plan and deliver high quality enrichment and employability sessions as part of the HITZ & Futures programmes. 
  • Support young people with their academic studies, work experience, and life challenges. 
  • Support the Social Inclusion Manager to grow and develop our HITZ and Futures inclusion programmes. 
  • Build strong relationships with community and corporate partners to promote opportunities for young people 
  • Encourage young people’s personal development, helping them develop resilience, confidence, and essential life skills. 
  • Develop ‘The Cast’ inclusive volunteering programme. 
  • Lead on monitoring and evaluating the impact of our inclusion programmes.
