The game is being played at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town, with the 6pm UK-time kick-off being shown live on World Rugby’s website.

Highlights are being shown at 11.35pm on ITV4, with England U20s head coach Mark Mapletoft saying: “It’s extremely exciting to be involved in the semi-final stages of the competition.

“The squad have worked very hard to be here and they thoroughly deserve it.

“They are an ambitious bunch that I know will not want to settle for just making it this far. We are coming up against a tough French side, but if we stick to our processes it has all the makings of a great game of rugby.

“We have prepared well and can’t wait to take to the field on Sunday.”

The winner of Sunday’s game will meet either Ireland or South Africa in the final on Friday July 14.
