The Newcastle Rugby Foundation is excited to announce that this year’s residential camp will be held from Monday July 29 to Friday August 2 at Mowden Hall School, located in the picturesque village of Newton in Northumberland, just 11 miles west of Newcastle.

The camp is open to all aspiring rugby players, regardless of their level of experience.

Participants will receive over five hours of coaching per day, covering team skills, individual skills, game management, principles of attack and defence, and much more.

The coaching will be provided by the Newcastle Falcons Community team, with guest coaching from members of the Newcastle Falcons first team and backroom staff, who will share their expertise and advice on how to succeed in the professional rugby world.

In addition to rugby coaching, the camp will also offer position-specific coaching, game management, game awareness, strength and conditioning, nutrition workshops and other aspects of the life of a professional rugby player.

The week will culminate with game day on the Friday, where teams will be put together across the age groups, allowing participants to showcase their skills to their parents.

The camp is open to boys aged 12-16 years (current year 7s going into year 8, up to current year 11s going into Year 12) with the price of £350 including accommodation, three meals and two snacks per day, rugby coaching and evening activities.

During the day participants will hone their rugby skills, while evenings will be spent relaxing and recovering in the common rooms, socialising with other participants and enjoying the evening activities. Each participant will also receive a piece of Newcastle Falcons clothing as a memento of the week-long camp.
