MATT THOMPSON’S TESTIMONIAL YEAR SET TO KICK-OFF
The former England Under-18, Under-21 and Saxons player, who has played more than 250 games for Newcastle Falcons, will be joined by British Lions legends past and present to look back at 40 years of Rugby at the highest level.
Hosted by Steve Black, the evening welcomes former Gosforth, England and Lions icon Roger Uttley and former Falcon and current Leicester Tigers and Lions star Geoff Parling back to the North East.
The duo will also be joined by Newcastle director of rugby Dean Richards and ex-Falcon and Scotland international Doddie Weir for what promises to be an entertaining night at the home of the North East’s Aviva Premiership club.
