#MYFALCONS COMPETITION WINNER ANNOUNCED
To mark the launch of their 2014-15 season tickets the club asked supporters to write in and explain what the Falcons meant to them. Two West Stand Category C or South Stand tickets were up for grabs, and in typical fashion Newcastle followers across the region entered in their droves.
But Peter’s entry caught the eye of everyone at the club and his anecdote summed up what supporting a professional sports club is all about. A season ticket holder for more than eight years, Peter revealed he has travelled the length and breadth of the country through thick and thin, whether it be winning the Powergen Cup final and JP Morgan Premiership Rugby 7s or taking part in tense relegation and Championship promotion battles.
As well as watching his beloved team from the terraces, Peter has also been lucky enough run-out on to the pitch with Newcastle legend Matt Burke in front of a near sell-out crowd at Kingston Park and recalled how that experience made him realise how special the club is in the North East.

I’m 19 and have been a season ticket holder for more than half of my life. I’ve been there through thick and thin, from Powergen Cup final victories and JP Morgan 7’s wins across the country, to relegation fights and tense Championship promotion battles! The club is a huge part of my life, not a day goes by without me reading and talking about the Falcons. I still vividly remember being lucky enough to run out onto the pitch with the legend Matt Burke in front of a near sell-out crowd and thinking, ‘Wow, this is a special club!’ I have every faith that we’ll be back fighting at the right end of the Premiership very soon! Come on Falcons!
