Newcastle Falcons return for pre-season training
Following an early-morning kit collection the squad convened for a meeting with new head coach Alex Codling, who outlined the qualities and standards expected of the group throughout the campaign.
It was then onto the pitch at Kingston Park for the dreaded ‘bronco’ running test before taking on a skills session under the late-morning sun.
Lunch was followed by a weights session and testing at Newcastle University’s outstanding new sports centre, with head coach Codling returning to Kingston Park for a fans’ forum with club owner Semore Kurdi and chairman of rugby Matt Thompson.
