Speaking about the new agreement Newcastle Falcons Managing Director Mick Hogan commented: “It’s fantastic news that Bidvest Foodservice will become an Official Partner of the Falcons. They have been great supporters of the club now for a number of years.
“By working closely with them we have significantly grown our match day hospitality and non-match day conference and events business. Not only are their goods and services first class but the support and advice we receive from the Bidvest Foodservice Team is invaluable.
“This has culminated in Newcastle Falcons, alongside Ramside Event Catering, winning the tender for the Official Rugby World Cup Fanzone in Newcastle later this year. It will be the biggest event we have ever undertaken away from Kingston Park Stadium and I’m sure that with the continued support of Bidvest Foodservice it will be a massive success.”
Newcastle Thunder Managing Director Keith Christie added: “To have such an impressive international name such as Bidvest Foodservice associated with the Thunder in our first year based in Newcastle is a real coup for the club. They have really bought in to the vision of what we are trying to achieve for rugby league in the north east. We are delighted to welcome them as an Official Partner of Newcastle Thunder.”
Norman Wemyss, Managing Director (North) of Bidvest Foodservice commented: “Especially in a Rugby World Cup year, we at Bidvest Foodservice are delighted to reinforce our existing fantastic relationship with Newcastle Falcons and Newcastle Thunder.
“The desire shown by the Rugby Club’s leadership to consistently improve performances week on week in all areas is reciprocated by everyone here at Bidvest Foodservice. I am therefore sure that as a ‘team’ we will be irresistible!”
