Newcastle Thunder set for big kick off

Newcastle Thunder get their Kingstone Press League 1 campaign underway this afternoon against Barrow Raiders at Kingston Park (3pm ko) with Falcons Director of Rugby offering his support ahead of the game,

Speaking at Thursday nights opening of the new Tap & Tackle bar at the stadium, Richards acknowledged the test that will be posed to Thunder by the visitors but also back Stanley Gene’s team.

“Barrow are a tough team to open up against, and they will be as keen as anyone to start the season with a win, after dropping into League 1 last season.”

“Thunder though have been working hard in pre season, have done well in the cups and are coming together as a side. It should be a very entertaining game on Friday that people should come along to if they can.

For anyone wanting to attend the match, important match day information is as follows.

**Supporter Accomodation** – Seating will be available in the main West Stand at Kingston Park and will be on an unreserved basis. Please follow directions from the Stewarding team when taking your seats.

**Ticket Sales** – Priced at £12 for adults £7.50 for concessions and £6 for Under 16s, tickets will be available to purchase up until kick off at 3pm. Ticket sales on the day will via cash turnstiles at the Southern end of the West Stand.

**Season Ticket Holders** – Any supporters who have yet to receive their 2015 season cards, please got the main West Stand reception desk to gain entry.

**Ground entry** – Holders of pre purchased match tickets or those purchasing on the day will enter the stadium via the turnstiles at the South West end of the ground. Season Ticket Holders will enter via the main West Stand reception doors.

**Gates Opening** – Turnstiles will be open 90mins before kickoff at 1:30pm

**Bars** – Bars and food kiosks will be open on the West Stand concourse, with a season ticket holders only bar located on level 1

**Programmes** – Thunder’s offcial programme has undergone a face lift and is now a monthly magazine. Priced at £3 and on sale around the ground, the first 52 page issue covers Friday and the two home games against Keighley and Oxford.

**Tap & Tackle** – The new clubhouse in the East Stand will be open from 12Noon until 11pm for Supporters who wish to arrive earlier or stay longer on matchday.
