Ollie Fletcher commits to Newcastle Falcons
Hooker Ollie Fletcher will remain with Newcastle Falcons for at least the next two seasons, having signed a new deal with the Kingston Park club.
The 22-year-old academy graduate scored three tries in 24 first-team appearances last season, taking his career tally to six in 36.
A former England Under-20s international who came through the Falcons’ academy, Fletcher said: “I’m incredibly proud to re-sign at my boyhood club.
“It’s a promising time for rugby in the North East, and I’m excited to keep developing and be part of this club’s journey moving forward.”
Director of rugby Steve Diamond welcomed news of Fletcher’s extension, saying: “Ollie is a homegrown lad who had a lot of Premiership exposure last season.
“He’s a talented player, he’s got a great attitude and I’m looking forward to seeing his continued development.”
