Penrith Coaches Master class a big success
Earlier this week Newcastle Falcons ran another of their coach the coaches Master Class sessions,
Here are a few bullet points for a Web story on the Cumbria coaching Master class sessions, the first to be held at Penrith RFC.
Led by Andy Saull, Mark Wilson and Calum Green, the ‘Tackle Area’ session included an indoor session alongside a practical session displaying different techniques, skills and exercises suitable for all ages that coaches could take back to their clubs.
Now in their third year, the Falcons coach the coaches Master Classes aim to provide additional development opportunities for community rugby coaches on a number of specialist topics.
To date, all of the club’s Coach the Coaches sessions have been a great success, and this most recent session was no different, with over 50 local rugby coaches in attendance.
The next session in the series will be held on 25th November at Carlisle RFC. Focusing on the topic of defence, this session will be led by Falcons Defence Coach Graham Steadman.
The hosting of both sessions within the Cumbria area is down in no small part to Newcastle Falcons Cumbrian Development Officer Keith Robinson, who continues to develop strong links across Cumbrian rugby.
