Cameron Neild joined Newcastle Falcons from Sale Sharks in the summer of 2024.

The abrasive back-rower made more than 130 appearances during his two spells at home town club Sale, having come through their academy.

Capped by England at Under-20s, 18s and 16s levels, the 6 foot 1 forward joined Worcester Warriors in 2022 and, following their administration later that year, had spells with Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh before rejoining Sale Sharks.

Describing himself as “an attritional player who gets through a lot of the grunt work”, Neild is renowned for being the engine of the team and providing a platform for others to shine.

His debut season in 2024-25 got off to an unfortunate start when he broke his arm in a pre-season friendly at former club Sale Sharks, but he came back to score two tries in 10 appearances during the tail end of the campaign.
