Centre Connor Doherty arrived at Newcastle Falcons in the summer of 2024 from Sale Sharks.

The Altrincham Kersal junior made his first-team debut for Sale Sharks at the age of just 17, with the England Under-20s cap earning a reputation for hard midfield running.

Playing seven matches for Sale during the 2023-24 season including Champions Cup ties against Leinster and Stade Francais, Connor cites ‘northern grit’ as a big part of his game.

Doherty’s debut season for the Falcons saw him scoring four tries in 16 games, including a pair away to Premiership champions Bath.
