Hooker Hame Faiva joined Newcastle Red Bulls in the summer of 2025 from then Gallagher PREM champions, Bath Rugby.

Capped 10 times by Italy prior to his arrival, Faiva played Under-20s rugby for New Zealand and made his professional breakthrough with Waikato, going on to play Super Rugby for the Blues and Hurricanes.

His six seasons in with Benetton saw him being selected by Italy, for whom he played during Rugby World Cup 2023, with his club career having taken him to Worcester Warriors and Bath, where he spent two seasons prior to joining Newcastle.
