Oli Spencer joined Newcastle Falcons’ senior academy in the summer of 2022, having played Under-16s and 18s for the club.

Beginning his club rugby journey in Australia before moving to Doha RFC when he lived in Qatar, Spencer moved to England to study at and play for Sedbergh School.

He made his first team debut in October 2023 during the Premiership Rugby Cup win over Caldy, and his Premiership bow the following month away to Sale Sharks.

Playing a total of ten senior games for the Falcons that season, Oli was also part of the victorious England Under-20s squad during the 2024 Junior Six Nations, scoring a try in the 32-32 home draw against Ireland.

His positive progress continued during the 2024-25 season, which saw him scoring one try in his 21 appearances.
