Oscar Usher joined Newcastle Falcons’ senior academy in February 2025.

Playing predominantly at lock but with the ability to operate in the back row, the Darlington-born forward was schooled at Barnard Castle before attending Leeds Beckett University, switching to Northumbria University to study a business management degree.

A former full-back in his younger days, Usher has also played for Darlington Mowden Park in National One.
