Rhys Beeckmans joined the Falcons’ senior academy in the summer of 2024, having graduated through the junior academy.

The Prudhoe-based centre attended Prudhoe Community High School before finishing his studies on the Falcons’ ACE programme at Gosforth Academy.

Making five appearances for the Falcons’ U18s, Rhys was selected for the England U18s training camp and is known for his strong running, with the Blaydon RFC back able to play in a number of roles.

Beeckmans made his first team debut during the 2024-25 season in the EPCR Challenge Cup trip to Ospreys, coming on from the bench, and played for England Under-19s the same year.
