Poppy shirt auction a huge success
Newcastle Falcons are delighted to announce that the recent auction of their limited-edition, poppy-themed match shirts has raised an impressive £4,262 in support of the Royal British Legion.
These one-of-a-kind shirts, worn by the team during their thrilling 31-28 bonus-point victory over Doncaster Knights in the Premiership Rugby Cup back in November, featured the iconic poppy symbol in honour of Remembrance. Each shirt was signed by the player who wore it and auctioned online via MatchWornShirt.com.

The auction, which concluded last month, saw overwhelming support from fans and generous bidders, with all net proceeds being donated to the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. This annual campaign plays a vital role in providing lifelong support to members of the Armed Forces community, including veterans and their families.
Funds raised will contribute to essential services such as financial support, mental and physical health assistance, and guidance for those who have served their country. Initiatives like this underline the meaningful connection between the sporting community and organisations that honour and support those who have sacrificed so much.

The Falcons extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in the auction and helped make a difference.
