Taking place on Saturday, May 13, the Army Rugby Union, and the Royal Navy Rugby battled in front of over 50,000 fans at Twickenham Stadium.

The Royal Navy came out winners on the day, securing the 2023 Men’s Inter-Services competition title with a 39-22 victory over the Army, their first win over their military rival since 2010.

Newcastle Falcons back Vereimi Qorowale started the fixture for the Army Rugby Union at outside centre.

The Fijian-born flyer showcased impressive power and skills throughout the game with strong carriers and key offloads being the highlights.

This was only Qorowale’s second appearance for the Army Rugby Union, following his debut against the RAF back in April.

The 28-year-old scored one try and assisted another in a 48-17 victory for the Army.
