Richards credits Falcons for taking full five at Hartpury
Having seen his team winning their 18th game in succession, the Falcons boss said:
“The important thing is that we keep on rolling, and keep on racking up the points.
“We knew it was going to be difficult because Hartpury are a good side, and they don’t lose many at home.
“There were a few scrum penalties or refereeing decisions which didn’t go our way early on, and there were a few issues at the breakdown which took us a little while to sort out.
“Once we did that I thought we looked OK, and we tied up the bonus point in that first part of the second half.
“We made a few changes and sustained a few injuries after that which disrupted us a little, but overall I thought we played well.”
Having seen tries for George Wacokecoke, Nemani Nagusa, Michael Young and Logovi’i Mulipola, Richards said: “We scored a couple of great individual tries, and any side getting a bonus-point win at Hartpury is a good result.
“You really have to earn it here, and I thought we did that.
“We missed one line-out at the end and had a couple of scrums where it didn’t quite happen, but I’m not going to be too critical because getting five points down here is a decent return.”
