RICHARDS EYES SECOND LEG

The Falcons chief cut a frustrated figure after his side’s 24-19 defeat to Leeds at Headingley Carnegie Stadium yesterday, but remained upbeat ahead of the return leg.

“It is half-time and we are five points down,” Richards told the gathering media.

> “We came to Leeds knowing it was going to be a hard game, and it was a
> hard game,” he added.

Admitting that a passionate North East and Cumbria fan-base will do much to spur the Falcons on, Richards said: “Home advantage counts for a lot in this sort of situation, and we will see. I am looking forward to it actually, and the boys are as well. It is only five points, and it is still within our grasp. There is another 80 minutes of rugby to be played.
