RWC DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR SEASON TICKET HOLDERS

Tuesday 06 May 2014 Written by: Adam

Due to a third party delay that has resulted in ballot forms only arriving with supporters this week, applications will now be accepted until 6pm on Thursday 8 May to ensure all those who wish to apply for tickets to the showpiece tournament are able to do so.

Season Ticket Holders who have renewed their Falcons season ticket qualify for the right to purchase up to four tickets for next year’s Rugby World Cup.

Tickets to all 48 matches being staged at the twelve venues throughout England plus the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff are being made available as part of England 2015’s Rugby Club Priority Access Programme. The scheme will see tickets made available to rugby club members from May 2014 ahead of the general public sale periods in September and November this year.

Current adult or concession season ticket holders (members) who apply by Thursday 8 May will be able to choose to either to go into a ballot for one of the ten Twickenham matches or choose from one of the other 38 non-Twickenham matches available. Twickenham games will include the England matches versus Australia and Wales as well as two quarter-finals, both semi-finals and the Rugby World Cup Final on 31 October 2015. The non-Twickenham matches include the three games at St James Park, Newcastle which are South Africa v Scotland (3 October), New Zealand v Tonga (9 October) and Scotland v Samoa (10 October).

Newcastle Falcons marketing director Keith Christie said: “Rugby World Cup tickets being made available exclusively to our members is yet another huge benefit of being a Falcons season ticket holder.

“The Rugby World Cup promises to be the biggest sporting event in the world next year and it’s right here on our doorstep. I’m thrilled that England 2015 have made this access available for rugby club members and that so many Falcons season ticket holders will be able to be part of the Tournament.

“We will be working to very tight deadlines on this process. Season ticket holders will need to purchase their Rugby World Cup tickets during May and June of this year.

“Furthermore, this season the club intends to make far more international tickets for England games in the Autumn Internationals and the Six Nations available exclusively to Season Ticket Holders. We want our Season Ticket Holders to not only guarantee their place at Kingston Park but to enjoy the option of following international rugby too.”

Notes to season ticket holders
• Season Ticket Holders will be offered the opportunity to choose up to four tickets at either one of the Twickenham matches or any of the other 38 matches
• The Twickenham matches are expected to be over-subscribed so will be allocated via ballot. Those unsuccessful in the ballot will be offered tickets at one of the other 38 games
• Newcastle Falcons have a set number of tickets for each of the Twickenham matches. Those Season Ticket Holders who are successful in the ballot will have between the dates 16 May – 30 June 2014 to purchase their allocation of RWC tickets. No tickets can be held after this date
• Those Season Ticket Holders in the general ticket sale (38 non Twickenham games) will also have between the dates 16 May – 30 June 2014 to purchase up to 4 tickets. Tickets at all these games will be on a first come, first served basis. Whilst overall there are enough tickets for all Season Ticket Holders availability to any specific game cannot be guaranteed.
• The RWC Ticket Priority Access Programme is available just to current adult or concession Season Ticket Holders who renew. Under the England 2015 terms and conditions new season ticket holders are exempt from access. However as the numbers of current Season Ticket Holders who may wish to apply is less than the total number of RWC tickets available to the club a request will go to England 2015 to include new adult/concession Season Ticket Holders. If this is allowable these would be issued on those Season Ticket Holders who renewed at the earliest date.
