Senior Academy trio in AASE Final action
New senior academy members Callum Chick, Joe Craggs and Dan Marshall are part of a strong Newcastle Falcons contingent playing in today’s AASE Plate Final at Allianz Park as part of the Gosforth Academy team.
Earning their place following a dramatic semi final win over The Henley College last Wednesday, where Marshall grabbed the winning try deep into added time, Gosforth Academy will face Bicton College at the home of Saracens this afternoon.
Part of a strong Falcons representation, Craggs will captain the side from blindside flanker while Chick lines up at number eight and Marshall taking the fullback berth.
A further six players with ties to the club’s academy from part of the team looking to win an AASE final for the second year in a row as the programme continues to deliver on its goals of offering talented rugby players access to a rugby development programme, while also gaining an excellent standard of education.
