For the first time since December 2009, Newcastle Falcons South Stand will be sold out, as demand for tickets for Sunday’s Aviva Premiership visit of Northampton Saints increases.

The ever popular terrace will be packed to the rafters on Sunday, as the Falcons aim to record a sixth straight win at home in all competitions, with advanced ticket sales now past 6,000 and demand expected to rise following lunchtime’s team announcement.

With the stadium hosting the largest ever Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup pre match, the 3pm kick off is well on track to being the biggest attendance at Kingston Park this season.

While tickets remain available in all other areas of the ground, supporters are being urged to pre book their tickets, with remaining advanced standing tickets priced at £15 and seats starting at £25. .

Head of Marketing Melanie Magee commented

“It’s fantastic news that the South Stand, officially the loudest stand in club rugby, has sold out prior to the game for the first time in six years. The players really do get a lift from a full and noisy stadium and I’m sure everyone attending on Sunday will play their part.”

“We will have additional stewards present on Sunday to ensure that the South Stand is comfortable and safe for everyone. There will be additional ticket checks and they will direct supporters to the less congregated parts of the South Stand. We ask that as ever our supporters work with the stewards to ensure a great day for everyone.”

Supporters travelling to the game on Sunday are advised to allow plenty of time to travel to the stadium and to gain access, with a number of transport considerations taking place on Sunday.

The Central Motorway in Newcastle will be shut north-bound till noon due to planned roadworks while the Tyne & Wear Metro system will also be suspended between South Gosforth and the Airport, with a replacement bus service is in use. Please allow extra time for this service.

Finally the car park at Kingston Park Stadium is now sold out. Parking is available at Kingston Park School or at Kingston Park Metro Station (Park & Walk) or Callerton Parkway Metro Station (Park & Replacement Bus to Kingston Park Metro, then Walk).
