Stephenson to join 100 Club this Sunday

Friday 30 January 2015 Written by: Adam

Stephenson was a familiar site on the wing or at full back in a six year stint at Kingston Park, making 163 appearances and scoring a total of 208 points across Premiership, European and Cup campaigns.

Now the chairman of the Durham Wooden Spoon charity, after retiring from playing in the 2013/2014 season, Stephenson remains heavily involved in the local rugby scene, and will be working with the Falcons Community Foundation in organising the Legends match on Oct 2nd.

As part of his induction, Stephenson will be delivering a Q& A to the guests in the 100 club suite, part of the match day hospitality options at the stadium that celebrates players past and present who have made 100 appearances for the club.

Speaking in an interview that features in this weekend’s match day programme, Stephenson said:

“It will be a good chance to speak to all the guests, I’ll have to check how many caps I’ve got so I’m not kicked out before I get in! Seriously though I’m looking forward to being inducted, I’ve been along a few times recently and there is a good buzz about the club so it’s good to be able to get involved.”

“It’s still my club from when I was playing and I think it’s important that we ex players come along and support it when we can.”

In addition to the interview with the inductee, 100 Club hospitality offers guests a two course hot fork buffet, a guaranteed executive seat in the main West Stand and the opportunity to meet the Falcons players after the game.
