Strong side named for A League v Jets
Newcastle Falcons have named an experienced squad for the return of Aviva A League action on Monday night, as the travel to face Sale Jets at Heywood Road. KO 19:30
It is the first of two key games in the next week as the Falcons aim to reach the knock-out stages of the competition, with the away fixture followed by the visit of Wasps to Kingston Park Stadium on Monday, April 10.
An exciting backline sees Brett Connon, Zach Kibirige and Belisario Agulla form the back three, Fred Burdon and Nick Reynolds pair up in the centres, while Craig Willis and Sam Egerton make up the half-back partnership.
The Falcons front row sees Alex Rogers and Scott Wilson pack down alongside Ben Sowery in the front row, Glen Young and Harrison Orr provide the grunt in the second-row engine room, while Ally Hogg, Tyrone Holmes and Opeti Fonua provide a threatening back row.
On the bench, a host of the club’s most exciting young talents are present including Max Davies, fresh from Under 20s Six Nations exploits and a welcome return from injury for Ruaridh Dawson.
