Summer Camps – 1 Week to go

Tuesday 14 July 2015 Written by: Adam

Newcastle Falcons Premiership Rugby Academy Camps are returning for a whole host of activities this summer across at both Kingston Park and Cumbrian venues too!

Each camp runs from 10am to 3pm and is suitable for ages 6-16 (unless otherwise specified below). Participants receive a PRA camp t –shirt and free ticket for a Newcastle Falcons game as well as coaching by our fantastic DBS cleared Falcons Community Foundation coaches.

Our summer camp range is split into smaller age groups to allow for a greater focus on skills and drills for particular age breakdowns. Into August we launch our position specific camps which are suitable for all ages (apart from kicking) and a great chance to ease back into the season with our preseason training camp. These camps are a great opportunity to run off some excess energy in the school holidays and keep up your rugby skills in the off-season.

– **20th to 24th July** Kingston Park U7-U12 5 days £95.00
– **27th to 31st July** Kingston Park U13-U16 5 days £95.00
– **27th & 28th July** Penrith RFC Summer Camp 2 days £50.00
– **3rd to 8th August** BARNARD CASTLE RESIDENTIAL (U13- U17) 5 days (overnight stay) £305.00
– **7th & 18th August** Backs Camp (Kingston Park) 2 day £50.00
– **19th August** Kicking Clinic (Kingston Park) (U12 – U17) 1 day £35.00
– **20th & 21st August** Forwards Camp (Kingston Park) 2 day £50.00
– **27th & 28th August** Cockermouth RFC Summer Camp 2 days £50.00
– **26th to 28th August** Preseason camp (Kingston Park) 3 days £65.00

Alongside the daytime camps we also have our fantastic Barnard Castle Residential Camp from 3rd- 8th August.

This is a chance for our more experienced older rugby players to improve their skills under the watchful eye of the Falcons Community Foundation and Yorkshire Carnegie coaching staff. Throughout the week visitors from both academy set ups as well as Newcastle Falcons and Yorkshire Carnegie players will visit the camp.

Cost includes three meals a day (plus supper), overnight stay each night and all activities outside of coaching hours. Typical evening activities include cricket, football, rounders, dodgeball and swimming (lifeguard and injury dependant). Camp begins at 1pm Monday and finishes at 1pm Friday.
