Kingston Park will play host to two leading Super League sides on Friday when both Widnes Vikings and Hull Kingston Rovers use the stadium as the venue for their team runs ahead of this weekend’s Magic Weekend at St James’ Park.

The two sides are up first and second on the Saturday of the two day event at the home of Newcastle Untied, the Vikings opening the event against Salford Red Devils, before KR take on derby rivals Hull FC in the second game of the weekend.

The two sides are contributing to a full day of the 13 man code at Kingston Park with sister club Newcastle Thunder taking on York City Knights in their local derby at 8pm in the evening.

Thunder players and staff, assisted by their colleagues from the Falcons have been billing the game as #MagicFriday, making it a semi official curtain raiser to the Magic Weekend and tapping in to the spiked interest in the game.

Tracking for a crowd in excess of 2000, it will be the biggest crowd for Thunder since the club played in Super League back in 1999 and will provide an exciting evening out.

Tickets for Friday’s match are still available, priced at £10 for adults, £6 for concessions and £5 for under 16s if bought by 5pm on Friday May 29th.

Tickets will also be available to purchase on the gate on Friday priced at £12 for adults, £7.50 for concessions and £6 for under 16s.
