The wait is nearly over. On Friday September 12, the Newcastle Red Bulls take to the field in their first cup game of the season and the first game under new ownership, and Newcastle Rugby Foundation are delighted to be involved in the action.

Before the game, our Foundation Flutter will be circulating around the stadium, allowing fans to purchase a lottery ticket for £2 and be in with the chance at winning two corporate hospitality tickets to a home game this season. Our CAST volunteers can be seen wearing blue hoodies around the concourse, and will accept both cash and card.

Every ticket you buy directly supports the Newcastle Rugby Foundation, with 100% of proceeds reinvested into programmes that help disadvantaged people across the North East.

The draw will be made live on the pitch at half-time, with a famous face pulling the lucky ticket from a bucket. The winning ticket will then be broadcast around the stadium and across our social media, @newcastlerugbyfoundation.

But this isn’t just about rugby. It’s about creating brighter futures.

The Impact You’ve Helped Us Achieve

Thanks to the support of fans and our community, the 2024/25 season saw incredible results:

• 35 pupils transitioned to rugby clubs – including four girls who are now proudly playing at Blaydon RUFC.
• 88% of women on the Falcons Fit programme now make exercise part of their daily routine.
• A 55% increase in confidence amongst female Falcons Fit participants.
• 82% of 16–19 year olds completing the Futures programme now feel hopeful about their future.
• A 100% increase in students identifying a career pathway through HITZ.
• A 79% increase in participants who said they no longer feel lonely after completing Project Rugby.
