Team named to face Sale U18
Newcastle Falcons have announced the Under 18 side to face their counterparts from Sale Sharks this afternoon at Kingston Park.
The Falcons head into their second game of this season’s Under 18 Academy competition after putting up a spirited, but ultimately empty handed performance against Northampton Saints back in October.
An essential part of developing the Falcons of the future, members of last year’s Under 18 squad have already enjoyed involvements as senior academy players this season, with Callum Chick, Joe Craggs, Ruaridh Dawson and Dan Marshall featuring in squads during the Singha Premiership Rugby 7s, the Kings of the North cup, the European Rugby Challenge cup and, in the case of Dawson, the Aviva Premiership.
The Under 18 Academy competition allows an early glimpse of the players of the future and spectators are welcome at this afternoon’s match, with entry via the Tap & Tackle in the East Stand.
