Temm laments little errors

Flanker Daniel Temm was philosophical following his side’s 36-19 defeat away to Leicester Tigers in the Kings of the North cup last weekend.

The 24 year old put in a full eighty minute shift against the Tigers and was already looking ahead to the return fixture at Kingston Park this Friday, mere minutes after the full time whistle.

Acknowledging what he and his team mates did well and identifying what they need to work on, Temm said while speaking to Falcons TV, “Yeah, loads of positives to take but also a load of negatives to work on next week. It’s good to come down here and play, but I thought we could have been a bit better in certain areas but we will fix it back up for next Friday night.”

The Falcons were attempting to take a 12-19 lead into the break before a fired up Tigers levelled through George Catchpole on the stroke of half time, something that disappointed Temm.

“We defended really well but it was two little mistakes that let those easy tries in after we worked so hard for ours.”

With the Tigers joining the Falcons and Sale Sharks by including the Kings of the North matches in their 2015/16 season tickets, a bumper 17,794 people packed the stands on Saturday, with Temm relishing the atmosphere.

“You know when they score or when they don’t like the look of something, but its all part of the game, it’s one of the biggest clubs in rugby and this is one of the places I’ve wanted to come and play in front of a full house.”

“It’s a great place to remember if I ever go back to New Zealand and tell the family I played at Welford Road.”
