The Big One: All tickets on general sale
The 5.30pm Gallagher Premiership kick-off sees Newcastle Falcons taking on northern rivals Sale Sharks at the home of Newcastle United, with tickets starting from just £10 for adults and £5 for juniors.
Last season’s fixture against Northampton Saints fell on the same weekend and drew a club record home attendance of 30,174.
This year’s Big One once again falls on football’s international weekend, meaning Newcastle United and Middlesbrough are both not playing, while Sunderland are due to be away from home.
The 5.30pm kick-off time gives local club players and officials time to get into the city following their own matches, and enough time to enjoy the restaurants and nightlife post-match.
And with the final whistle set to sound at around 7.20pm, the family-friendly timing ensures those with little ones are able to bring them along to one of the year’s must-see sporting events.
