‘Wall of noise’ can aid Falcons against London Irish

The 3pm kick-off can see the Falcons going a long way towards securing top-flight status for next season as they face the league’s bottom club – just four points separating the two teams ahead of this crucial fixture.

With seats going fast and corporate hospitality almost already sold out, supporters from the North East and surrounding areas are rising to the challenge of cheering the lads home.

Newcastle Falcons’ managing director Mick Hogan said: “Make no mistake, this is the game to be at.

“Victory against London Irish would go a huge way to ensuring we retain Premiership rugby at Kingston Park next season, and our supporters’ role in that is pivotal.

“Their magnificent backing at Kingston Park has already seen us beating Bath, Harlequins, Leicester Tigers and Northampton Saints since the turn of the year. Attendances have been on the rise, we have had the first South Stand sell-out in more than six years and our players have spoken repeatedly about how influential the atmosphere has been in producing those results.

“Having a big crowd and a wall of noise behind us could prove the difference on a day when the stakes are enormous for the Falcons. It would set the tone for the players, and with strong early interest in this fixture supporters need to get in early to secure their tickets.”

“As well as booking their place and making themselves heard on the day, supporters can help pack out the stadium by bringing along a mate or sharing promotional posters through their social media. The importance of this game to rugby in the region is massive, and in partnership with our incredible home crowd we can make sure the momentum is firmly with the Falcons before a ball has even been kicked.”
