WILSON ENJOYING LIFE ON TYNESIDE

The England Under-20s star has enjoyed a series of outings in the Aviva Premiership this term under the stewardship of director of rugby Dean Richards.

And speaking ahead of this weekend’s trip to Exeter Chiefs, Wilson admits the exposure to top level rugby has benefited his game.

“I love every minute of my time here, and I’m just grateful that I’ve been given my chance in the first team,” said the 19-year-old.

“Dean’s had faith in me and I want to repay him for that by putting in solid performances for the team,” added Wilson.

Whilst the Falcons gear-up for the Sandy Park challenge, preparations are well underway behind the scenes for the visit of London Wasps on Friday 27 December.

The former Sedbergh School pupil admits he is itching to be involved against Londoners as the northeasterners look to put on a festive treat for the Kingston Park faithful.

Wilson said: “I would love to be selected for the Wasps match, but my focus is to keep working hard in training and take my opportunity when I get game time.

“My family will be at the game which is nice and it promises to be an entertaining contest.”

Tickets for the Wasps match are selling fast but are still available by calling the Falcons Ticket Hotline on 0871 226 6060 or [click here][1] to purchase online.
