Wilson named in England training squad
The Cumbrian has started all seven games for the Falcons this season and captained the side during last week’s Heineken Champions Cup triumph in Toulon.
Wilson has four England caps to his name, the last two of which came on this year’s summer tour to South Africa, and he will fly out with the squad to Portugal next week.
England face four tests during the autumn window, against South Africa (Nov 3), New Zealand (Nov 10), Japan (Nov 17) and Australia (Nov 24).
Falcons director of rugby Dean Richards said: “We’re happy for any of our players when they are selected by their countries, we want as many as possible to be playing at the highest level and we are of course all delighted for Mark that he is again involved with England.”
Other Newcastle players confirmed for the autumn test window are Chris Harris (Scotland), Logovi’i Mulipola (Samoa) and Vereniki Goneva, Tevita Cavubati and Nemani Nagusa (Fiji).
The Falcons are next in action when they host Montpellier in the Heineken Champions Cup this Sunday at 1pm. Book your tickets by [**clicking here**][1].
