Woods Latest Legend To Confirm
Newcastle Falcons can today confirm that Flanker Ben Woods will be joining a host of former team mates in the club’s upcoming Legends match this October.
The game, scheduled for 2nd October at Kingston Park Stadium, will see the Falcons Legends take on a Southern Hemisphere XV on the eve of Scotland vs Samoa, the first Rugby World Cup game to be played in Newcastle.
Barnsley-born Woods joined the Falcons in 2003 after and went on to play 64 times for the club before moving to Leicester Tigers in 2008.
The former Durham University student was capped eight times for England Saxons before retiring in 2012.
Woods joins a host of other former Falcons to have already confirmed for the game, including Micky Ward, Hugh Vyvyan, Tom May, Carlo del Fava, Michael Stephenson, Epi Taione and Marius Hurta for the game, as well as Southern Hemisphere legends such as Stefan Terblanche and Andre Snyman.
