It’s a game with added spice, as Newcastle return to the scene of one of their most notable wins in 2017/18 and the Tigers look to bounce back from an opening day mauling at the hands of Exeter Chiefs.
Ahead of the game, Falcons TV caught up with Sonatane Takulua to get the inside track before this weeks action.
Takulua was the man of the hour when Newcastle Falcons last visited Welford Road, with his overtime conversion securing the first win at the home of the Tigers in 20 years.
Here he looks ahead to Saturday’s return trip and shares the inside story on that pressure kick, revealing it was not as straightforward as it may seem.
