Next Friday some of the biggest names in Falcons history will take to the Kingston Park Stadium pitch for the huge Falcone Legends game.

And in true Falcons style there will also be an opportunity for local rugby to take centre stage with a tri-counties veterans competition in the build up to the main competition.

Teams of veteran local players from Cumbria, Northumberland and Durham will all represent their counties in a competition open specifically to players aged 35 and over.

With teams due to be announced later this week, players from clubs across the three counties have been asked to play in the tournament.

Kicking off at 5.15pm on Friday 2nd October the tournament will comprise 20 minute games, all played pre-match as a curtain raiser to the main Legends game.

The tournament offers local rugby fans a great opportunity to support their own club players in the game before staying to watch the Falcons Legends take on a Southern Hemisphere XV from 7.45pm.

Tickets for the evening are available to buy now [online][1], in person from the Kingston Park Stadium Box Office or by calling the Falcons’ 24 hour Ticket Hotline on 0871 226 6060 starting from just £10 for adults and £5 for juniors.

Each squad of 21 local veterans will train on the Kingston Park Stadium pitch in the run up to next Friday and will receive tickets to the Legends game, allowing them to stick around and enjoy what looks set to be a fantastic evening of rugby in the North East!
