Dean Richards has selected a side to be competitive against Brive in Friday’s European Rugby Challenge Cup match, with the Director of Rugby looking forward to seeing his side perform.

Speaking to Falcons TV, Richards said: “There’s a combination, young lads, new boys with Marcus is in there which is great, TC is back, Micky is in there. Also Tom Penny, George McGuigan and Sean Robinson, Belisario starts for us and also you have to welcome back Mark Wilson who will be captain after being out injured the last eight weeks.”

Argentine international Agulla brought an impetus to the field when he made his club debut from the bench against Exeter, giving plenty of go forward and with further time with his team mates under his belt, should be able to deliver even more this weekend.

“Belisario is getting used to lines and shapes and everything else like that which he is doing week on week and there will be a marked improvement on a couple of weeks ago. I’m looking forward to seeing him out there but also there are other boys who are out there and want to make a statement as well.”

“With the strength and depth we have in our squad at this moment in time, we are able to afford opportunities to people without detracting what we are trying to achieve in the competition. I think we’re putting a side out this weekend that should be competitive.”
