Rotherham withdraw from August 13 double header
The Greene King IPA Championship side had been due to form part of a double header at on Saturday August 13 at Kingston Park Stadium, with the Falcons also facing Doncaster Knights the same day, but Rotherham have informed the Falcons they will not be fulfilling the fixture.
The Doncaster game will still go ahead as a standalone match at 3pm that day, director of rugby Dean Richards saying: “The Knights will provide robust opposition in what will be our penultimate pre-season friendly.
“Doncaster were worthy finalists in last season’s Championship and showed by beating Bristol away in that final what a dangerous side they can be. And whilst it is a little disappointing that our plans for a double header have not proved possible, we will still enjoy a testing fixture against a very capable Knights team.”
