Stade Francais Fixture Details Announced
Parisian flair will be visiting the North East at the start of December as Newcastle Falcons can confirm their eagerly awaited home fixture against Stade Francais in the European Rugby Challenge Cup will be on Friday December 5th.
Kicking off at 8pm, the third round fixture in pool 3 will see the Falcons take on players such as Digby Ioane, David Lyons, Sergio Parisse as they look to stake a claim to a European quarter final for the first time in five years.
The two sides last met in the quarter finals of the Heineken Cup in April 2005 in a match which saw the French side emerge 48-8 victors. However a new-look Newcastle Falcons set up will be looking to turn the tables this time around as they hope to make an impact on the first ever European Rugby Challenge Cup competition.
The two teams will play a second fixture the following Thursday in Paris, kicking off at 7.45pm. The club is currently in discussion with a number of partners, including the Newcastle Falcons Supporters Club regarding the possibility of arranging group travel to that game.
