Stat-pack: Looking ahead to Worcester

Wednesday 24 November 2021 Written by: Adam

The Falcons have lost just one of their last six home games in Premiership Rugby: 20-26 to Harlequins on September 19.

Worcester Warriors have won just one of their last seven Gallagher Premiership Rugby matches: 27-14 at home to Sale on October 30. The Warriors have won just once on their travels in any competition since November 2019: 40-25 against London Irish at the Twickenham Stoop in September 2020.

The Falcons have won their last three Premiership Rugby encounters with Worcester, excluding the unplayed match at Sixways in February. The Warriors have been defeated on their last four visits to Kingston Park since their narrow 15-14 victory in March 2016.

Newcastle Falcons have conceded the fewest first-half points per game of any team in the Premiership this season (6.7) while Worcester Warriors have conceded the second most in the first 40 minutes of games (16.8). Bath top the chart on 19.3.

Newcastle Falcons are one of just two teams yet to concede a try after a scrum in the Premiership in 2021/22, joining Northampton Saints. Worcester Warriors are the team to have conceded the most tries following a scrum in the league this season, with seven.

Newcastle Falcons’ Louis Schreuder has made five try assists in the Premiership this season. Only Harlequins’ Danny Care has recorded more than him, with seven. Schreuder has assisted 33% of the Falcons’ total tries, the highest such ratio of any player in the league in 2021/22.

Ben Stevenson has scored three tries, made five offloads and five line-breaks, the highest tallies for a Newcastle player in each of those categories in the Premiership this season.

Only Stevenson and fellow academy graduate Will Welch have played all 560 minutes for the Falcons in 2021/22.
