Blair signs for Glasgow
Newcastle Falcons scrum half Mike Blair will leave the Kingston Park club this summer and will return to Scotland, with a move to Guinness Pro 12 side Glasgow Warriors.
Blair, who joined the Falcons from Brive in the summer of 2013 has made a total of 39 appearances for the club and has been a key part of Dean Richards’ squad.
The 33 year old, who is also Scotland’s most capped scrum half will be a member of the Warriors playing squad and will also work closely with the Scotstoun based club’s young scrum halves, to aid in their development.
Newcastle Falcons director of rugby Dean Richards said: “Mike has been a valued member of our squad and has done an excellent job for us in his time with the club.”
“He has been offered a role with the Warriors that will allow him to continue playing as well as develop his skills as a coach, ahead of moving into that aspect of the game when he retires from playing.”
“We are very grateful for all he has done and we wish him all the best with the Warriors.”
