Brive Game Critical For Euro Qualification Hopes

With the quarter finals of this season’s European Rugby Challenge Cup drawing ever closer, Newcastle Falcons can still progress through to the knock out stages of the competition.

But with the Falcons needing a home win over this Saturday’s opponents Brive, your support is even more important than usual to help the team progress.

Competition regulations mean that there are still a number of possibilities for the Falcons to move forward in the competition.

If the Falcons can secure a bonus point win over Brive at Kingston Park Stadium this Saturday and Russian side Enisei-STM can beat Connacht at their Galway Sportsground, the English side would top the pool one table and automatically qualify for the next round of the competition.

Were the Irish side to overcome their Russian opposition, the Falcons would still be in with a chance of qualifying for the quarter finals if they end the pool stages as one of competition’s top three runners up.

For that to happen the Falcons would have to collect maximum points against Brive while fellow Premiership sides Gloucester and Harlequins would have to win their games against Zebre and Montpellier respectively and Italian side Calvisano would have to prevent Cardiff Blues from taking full points from their game this weekend.

Both options require Falcons to take a winning bonus point from this Saturday’s home game against French side Brive, so the team need your help!

Tickets for Saturday’s game (ko 3pm) are on sale now starting from £15 for adults and £7.50 for juniors. Get yours [here][1], in person from the Kingston Park Stadium Ticket Office or by calling the Falcons’ 24 hour Ticket Hotline on 0871 226 6060.
