DEL FAVA READY FOR TITAN-IC ENCOUNTER
The Italian international, who made the move to Tyneside during the summer, admits his side are in for a stern test from the South Yorkshiremen.
He said: “I think it’s going to be a really tough encounter as they are a very big side upfront, and the backs are pretty solid too.
“We will certainly have our hands full, so we will have to make sure that we are switched on and ready to hit them head on.”
This Friday sees the club showcase a real ale night, which the South African-born lock has given his thumbs up to.
“I’m sure the real ale night will go down well with the fans and I think it’s a great idea – if I was a supporter turning up on a Friday night I would be happy,” said del Fava.
“Ale and rugby go hand in hand so I think it will go down a storm,” he added.
Victory over Rotherham would make it nine wins out of nine in all competitions for Dean Richards’ troops as the Falcons aim to continue the winning habit.
Del Fava is fired up, insisting his outfit cannot afford to take the Titans lightly, saying: “We’re just taking each game as it comes, making sure that we get the job done.
“We’ve got to give Rotherham the maximum amount of respect as they are a good team, and will come here to have a real go.”
