EXTRA FOOD OPTIONS AVAILABLE FOR FANS AT PLAY-OFF FINAL
The Falcons have today confirmed that extra catering will be available for the home leg of their Championship play-off final next Wednesday at Kingston Park.
Alongside the traditional indoor catering concessions, the ground will see hog roast, burger and coffee vans around the stadium as well as a noodle van, all aimed at giving fans an increased choice of high quality catering options, served quickly and effectively throughout the ground.
Director of conferencing and events Jane Shepstone said: “The feedback from our recent catering event was very positive and gave us some great ideas, all of which we’re looking into now to help us provide the best service possible for fans around the ground.
“Although we won’t be able to implement all of those things until the start of the new season, we know that the crowd for next week’s game will be a big one, and wanted to provide those fans with a variety of catering options for the evening, whilst also trying to reduce waiting times at our existing catering concessions.
> “One thing that went down particularly well at the food sampling event
> was the idea of a fresh noodle stand, so this is something we have
> chosen to bring back for the final and allow fans to try out again.”
The club will be sharing further details of their catering plans for the stadium concourse next season over the summer months. As always though, we would welcome any further feedback from fans on the catering options available and on those that they have sampled so far in order to help us make more informed decisions and provide an offering that is more in line with what our fans want.
The second leg of the Falcons’ play-off final match against Bedford Blues will be played at Kingston Park next Wednesday, 29 May, kicking off at 7.45pm.
Tickets for the game are selling well but are still available online, via the Falcons 24 hour ticket hotline on 0871 2266060, in person from the Kingston Park club shop or by visiting the Newcastle Visitor Information Centre in Central Arcade, Newcastle.
