Davies started at lock and Blamire was replacement hooker as they defeated Scotland Under-20s 33-5 at Northampton’s Franklin’s Gardens.

The victory means England win the Six Nations title with a round to spare, the world champions finishing their campaign with a potential Grand Slam when they face Ireland in Dublin on Friday.

Meanwhile, Newcastle Falcons’ Cameron Kelemeti was a replacement as England Under-18s defeated Scotland Under-18s in Preston on Sunday.

The Durham School pupil was involved in a 31-17 victory, head coach John Fletcher saying: “It was never going to be easy with the weather and that made it difficult, however our intentions were excellent.

“We put Scotland under a lot of pressure in the line-outs in both attack and defence and I’m delighted for Peter Walton and Mark Luffman, who both work incredibly hard with the lads.

“We can be pleased with how these two games have gone and I think we will continue to improve as the season goes on.”
