Fans set to enjoy new ‘1877 Bar’ on match days
Building works are currently ongoing but the club intends to open its new ‘1877 bar’ for the visit of Leicester Tigers on Sunday September 18.
Named after the year the club was founded in its original guise, the bar will be situated on the first floor of the East Stand, adjacent to the Tap & Tackle. The new bar is open on match days to all supporters with a valid ticket, and on non-match days will provide an improved meeting room for the club’s players and management.
Major renovation of the interior of the East Stand will also see the old downstairs bar become the club’s new offices, while a full refurbishment of the home changing room has been complemented by the addition of further changing facilities elsewhere on the ground floor.
