Fans welcome on the Falcons pitch this Sunday
With Newcastle Falcons preparing to welcome Aviva Premiership champions Northampton Saints to Kingston Park this Sunday, preparations are well underway for the second home match of the season.
And the club are pleased to announce that spectators will be invited onto their new 3G artificial pitch after this Sunday’s match.
Newcastle Falcons Managing Director Mick Hogan said: “After a few weeks of negotiations we’re thrilled to be able to invite fans onto our new pitch to pass a ball about or just to experience the new playing surface.
“There are a number of ground rules that we must enforce for anyone heading onto the pitch, not only to maintain the surface but most importantly to ensure the safety of our fans, and we would ask everyone in the stadium to pay attention to signage and stadium staff in order to ensure those rules are followed.”
Spectator pitch rules within Kingston Park are as follows:
1. Please enter the pitch area only via the West Stand perimeter entrances
2. Please wait until the players have left the pitch before heading out to the playing surface
3. No food or drink is allowed on the pitch
4. Only studded boots or training shoes allowed. All other shoes must be left at the edge of the pitch (please note the club does not accept responsibility for any shoes left unattended)
5. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times
6. Do not engage in activities that could lead to injury to you or others
7. Listen to the Stewards at all times. They are present for everyone’s safety
8. Please do not leave any objects on the field. Check that coins, keys, other small objects etc don’t fall from pockets or bags
9. Spectators go on to the pitch at their own risk and Newcastle Rugby Ltd accepts no responsibility from any injuries arising from entering the pitch
10. Enjoy! We are very proud of the new pitch and hope that all supporters share this enjoyment.
