Funding fun for Club Connections members

Earlier this week Newcastle Falcons held an event focussed on funding with the aim of helping our Club Connections Clubs to develop and strengthen their own operations.

Representatives from the Falcons’ Community Partners Muckle LLP, Barclays and Tyne and Wear Sport joined Falcons MD Mick Hogan to provide expert advice and share their own experiences..

Over 20 people from across our Club Connections programme came along to the free of charge event and left armed with “tricks of the trade” and some valuable advice on how to access funding from various sources.

Paul Walker, Club Connections Ambassador for Ponteland RFC said: “I thought the event contained some appropriate topics which were well presented with thought provoking detail.”

The Falcons’ Club Connections scheme allows local clubs throughout the North East, North West, Borders and North Yorkshire to work more closely with Newcastle Falcons, receiving a range of exclusive benefits for their clubs and members as a result.

Rugby clubs involved in the scheme enjoy player visits, club development evenings, discounts on tickets, events and kit, signed items for raffles and priority booking for festivals and CPD events such as the funding event held this week.

A big thank you to everyone who took part in the funding CPD event. Club connections ambassadors should keep an eye on email updates and posters within their clubs for details of the Falcons’ next CPD event.
